Strange vibration from steering wheel

I noticed today sitting at a light that when I slightly turn my wheel to the left I get a vibration through the wheel and a I can feel it in the floor board. It quickly goes away when I go back to dead center. When I turn the wheel slight to the right I dont feel it. Is this a power steering problem?

I would look and see if anything is rubbing anywhere. Is the power steering fluid level ok?

is it harder to turn left than right or visa versa. sounds like you cud have either a gearbox problem or a pump problem. i wud be leaning more towards the gearbox with the info you have provided so far

Me too unfortunately, but a good Redhead steering gear would solve this if that's truly the problem.

Fluid is good. when I got the truck last year the PS fluid was very dirty. I have flushed it since.

I notice on a long trip this weekend that the steering wheel would go left to right when holding it lightly on a stright-a-way. I picked up a Redtop steering box a few weeks back, but have not had time to install it yet.

I guess I should get it checked to make sure its not something else that's bad.
