Well I finally did it! I had the muffler and cat removed due to the cat breaking up and starting to rattle, also caused my EGT's to increase a little. The local exhaust shop cut it all out and replaced with about 6 ft of pipe and new hangers for $55. I don't think I could have done it much cheaper myself and it is welded. It is a little louder but not to bad and EGT's are back down, should have done it 6 months ago when I first started thinking about it, but was concerned with possible noise level.
