Sticky throttle
Sticky throttle
Ok, so I finally drove the old girl for the first time in a month or so, stupid thing is not wanting to return to low idle.
When I first got it, the dealership had to work on the linkage to get it to return to idle, but since then, it has returned flawlessly.
It is not in the cable assy, I used white lithium grease ( spray kind ) on the bellcrank and all the places I could see.
Any other ideas? Seems to be marginally better, but not there just yet.

Timmy22, is that to address the sticky after setting issue?
Mine has had the recall done ( or so goes the factory paperwork ).
I checked it again last night and it was almost perfect, so perhaps it just needed time for the grease to get in.

no- the recall was to address the ball joint where the throttle cable attaches to the bellcrank because the cable was rusting and breaking.
The sticking is the ball joint on the throttle rod- 1 lube the he$$ out of the bellcrank at the TPS where the cables attach. Next follow the throttle linkages, under the IP near the idle adjust you''ll find a hard rod which is going to be rusty- that's the culprit. If you park on dirt, park em for a while, or use em in rusty environments they bind there- took my local shop a little while of massaging in pentrating oil and white lith but it freed it up and has been fine for over a year. you can replace the linkage but it's a PITA.

I bought that recall kit I was talking about, It came with all (3) ball studs and sockets.
Mine was stiking bad, I lubed EVERYTHING and even added additional return springs and it would still stick.
Put in that kit and was able to remove the extra springs and the pedal is lite and responsive now, like brand new!

Sorry- should have been more specific- the recall kit was not to address that, the recall kit was to address the fraying throttle cable. It's good to know the kit has the piece for this repair- my dealer listed the rods themselves as the only option when I needed it done. Maybe it's a different recall.....
