Have a 1997 ctd with 197000. Every time I start it it goes to 900 to 1000 rpm's and then quits. It will not keep running no matter what. Any guesses Thanks Glenn

 

All I can do is guess.<br><br>Air in the fuel? <br>Fualty fuel pump?<br> <br>Im not sure if your truck has the ability to reset the APPS, but that might be something to check into? (See Tech Facts for directions for reseting the APPS).<br><br>Again, these are just guesses. Someone with a little more experience may be along soon to give you better info.<br><br><br>Rich

 

Sounds like an air in the fuel problem. There are 2 fuel lines, the first is a 3/8 supply line and the second is a 5/16 return line. I would replace them first. The job is a pain in the ***.<br>John
