I'd say try jump starting it just to rule out the batteries. If nothing there, then I'd agree that it's gotta be the starter (or solenoid, which is mounted on the starter in our trucks).

Its an auto i called the guy that has rebuilt the starters on both of my other trucks and he said it sounded like the solenoid.

I thought my battery cables were bad because my truck would slow start but it just kept getting slower. Put a new starter in and BAM a new truck (in the morning when its cold at least)

The same thing happened to me a year ago. Swapped out the started (in the rain) and then, nothing. I finally determined it was a bad switch and jumped the starter to the battery and bam, cranked right up. I drove it around for a couple weeks using a piece of wire I put on the starter positive post to start the truck by touching it to the positive terminal of my battery. Then I rolled up my sleeves and one weekend and found the true culprit, a kill switch the previous owner installed and didn't tell me about
Anyway jump off your starter to your battery to verify if your starter is good.
cheers

I just went through the same problems. No start sometimes. I purchased these: http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/default.htm . Did not help my problem. I just ordered a PowerMaster Starter 9053 from Summit.
