squealing brakes

Please help! There is a squeaking noise coming from my brakes,
but only when there not being used. If I apply pressure to the petal the noise stops. I never heard of this. I had the brakes checked and there better than 50%. This noise can be very loud.
It comes and goes, but it's everyday now.

Take a look at the pads on the disc brakes. Each set should have what is know as a 'squeeler' to alert you when the brakes are worn beyond a certain percentage. Perhaps one of these little fingers have been bent out of position and needs to be bent back into place.

Had new front pads put on today. No more noise! The pads were seperating from the backing plate. Never was impressed by Chrysler brakes. Oh well, first time repair on this truck.
