Some stuff installed on 12V

I just wanted to write a short report on installing some stuff on a friend's truck.
The decision to "do something" was made when the truck started to sound like the attempt to decimate rebar with a buzzsaw when put into 4WD, and the auto tranny was rapidly turning from a slushbox to a sludgebox. Minor corrosion issues (you could check the battery mounting position without opening the hood, through the fender, (remind me to suggest that as an USP for the next generation Dodge Pickups to Chrysler) led surprisingly to a little more work than intended,
He got a lot of body panels and stuff, so I had some time and pulled the transmission and transfer case.
Well, the chain had a bit of slack and had already eaten a little bit of the housing, and the front output bearing was not really quiet, so I just rebuilt it with new chain and bearings, seals and whatnots.
The transmission was in quite good shape except for the front clutch and the front band- well, while in there some improved parts and some additional clutches fell in there during the rebuild- but we kept the stock TC because it is really nice to drive in the mountains with a trailer.
The stock air filter was replaced with a BHAF and since the truck had an erratic idle and sometimes stalled when put into gear (as before the repairs) I decided to tell my friend that this looked suspiciously like some worn springs in the P7100..
I still had a DTT 3400 GSK from an earlier project that did not work out due to the fact that you should not try to box with a Scania truck while in the Dodge as another guy did, and installed the GSK on Peter's truck.
Cliff notes- do it through the sides, it's much easier. -- Remove Start-Stop-Solenoid, remove bolt holding start-stop-lever to the pump and pull lever away from pump approx. 5mms, don't pull off completely. Remove governor cover with 22mm socket (after cutting anti-tamper wire) , rotate engine so that you have the top side of the governor spring looking at you, remove old worn springs and replace with new ones you do by chance have in a plastic bag...
Do not let your friend drop crucial parts of the P7100, especially not behind the bracket that holds the fuel heater to the engine, this is the last place you will look for it!
Reassemble truck, start, adjust idle and let friend go on a test drive-
The reaction was quite like (dropping part) (searching) (found) (after adjusting idle) on the test drive.
