Silencer Ring?
its a small olmost cone shaped ring on the intake side of out turbos that mother mopar put there to quiet down the wistle. Allot of us have taken it out and love it. Its a 10 min thing to get it out.
The Silencer ring is a thin metal deflector mounted on the inlet to the turbocharger. Its held in with a large snap ring. The silencer ring was made to reduce the audible turbo whistle that was bothering some owners. Removal of this ring is purely for noise control and has no affect on performance.
I pulled out the lock ring and silencer ring, but was also understanding that the baffles from inside the intake duct needed to come out as well. They do not come out very easy compared to the silencer ring, but with a recip saw, I as able to get them out. This is what they looked like when I got done with them.

Does that sound and look right? It doesn't change the sound at idle or driving the way I do. (Like a grandpa) But when you get on it, it sounds good. My wife said it sounds like an airplane.

Where did those parts come from? How large are they? For what it's worth, it would be a lot more helpful if there was something in the picture that gave a size comparison. Such as a tape measure, a quarter, dollar bill, or anything that is a size that everyone will recognize.
Thanks!

Yep, Disconnect the connector on top of the air box. Remove the air intake duct in the picture above from the air box and turbo. On the turbo, you'll see a lock ring around the inside of the turbo air inlet. The lock ring comes out by CAREFULLY prying it out with a small straight slot screwdriver, hook pick, or awl. The silencer ring will fall out after you remove the lock ring. Make sure to wipe any debris or metal shavings out of the turbo inlet with a clean rag. Put the duct back on. Connect your connector on the airbox. You're done.
