I know about the adjustment under the truck for the automatic. However, there is still about 1/2 inch play in my shifter- it is very sloppy.

Is there a way to adjust out that play in the steering column?

Play

Look For The Black Bushing On The Trans Bracket And See If It Is Broke, Losse, Missing Where The Torque Shaft Goes Through. Next See If Welds Where Lever Goes On Column And See If They Are Broken Inside Column. May Need Two People.
