scared to keep her....
How do you get all the coolant out of the motor though? Ive had a couple dirt bikes that blew pump seals and inhaled coolant and all I could think to do is change the oil a few times. On something big like the cummins thats a like 10 gallons of oil almost.
The only thing you can do is to put new oil in and run it for a little while by little while I mean for about an hour or so then dump it and fill it back up change the filter to. That is all you can do other than tear it down and wipe it all out. Getting the oil warm should pick up most of the water anyway. It wouldnt hurt if you just poured a quart straight thru and let it just dump out.
Well, she's someone elses problem now....
At least with a new Cummins marine head gasket, 125lb torqued head studs, 3oil transfusions, 5 radiator fill and dumps.....anyway-you get the idea.
I just couldn't trust her ever again

We see oil in the coolant from all the HG we do..... Here is what we do:
Clean overflow with brakeclean.
Drain rad and flush well with water as best possible.
Refill with water and liquid ALL laundry soap.
Run truck until warmed up and T-stat has cycle several times (you can drive the truck to do this).
Drain rad.
Do the above steps 2 or 3 times until system is clean.
Refill with antifreeze.

Jetpilot, how do you get the coolant out of the motor? Same deal with an oil flush?
I wondered about flushing with something cheaper like alcohol or kerosene to soak up the water and break up the gunk. obviously without running the motor
