I have a chance to buy three Autometer gauges NIB from a private seller. He has Ultra Lite boost, EGR and trans temp gauges. How are Autometer gauges? How useful is a trans temp gauge on a 5 speed trans?

Any help is appreciated.

I don't think you would need a trans temp gauge but you could always sell it on ebay/craigslist and get some money back. I have autometer gauges and they work fine!!!

 

mine work great! egt and boost are really important.

 

can't go wrong with autometer. sell the trans temp guage. it's pretty worthless on a 5spd. the other 2 are important.

 

You could install the temp gauge in the rear diff, if you tow much.
