My old 96 4X4 Auto, with 300,000 miles is running a little rough. Low idle, about 450 to 500 rpm.
I installed a manual throttle, to keep her running, until I could get the pump rebuilt.
Pump (P7100) rebuilt, overflow valve and fuel filter replaced when installed.
Ran fine for a while, started doing it again.
Overflow valve replaced again. Fuel pressure tested okay, fuel plate adjusted for a little more power.
No better.
Lift pump and injectors replaced.
No better, yes I do have more power and my fuel economy is about the same, but, I am overfueling, white smoke in the morning, till she warms up, then black smoke when you step on it.
What can it be?
Can someone tell me what is going on with my baby?

have you checked timing? you shouldnt see white smoke at all but not sure what your weather conditions are.

 

raise the idle to 750 rpms in drive with the ac on, fixed my problem. white smoke while the engine is cold is somewhat normal.
