Replacing Engine Temp Sensor - Looking for hints

I'm going to replace waterpump hoses and take a stab at replacing the engine temperature sensor (far back driver's side of block) tomorrow. I have not been able to see it yet but I know it is back there! I'm planning on changing the fuel filter at the same time to see if that provides another way in. Anyone who has replaced this and has tips, please chime in.

Thanks and take care
Steve

1/4" ratchet and 7/16" socket I believe. Not as hard as it looks!
