Rebuild kit?
Rebuild kit?
Who makes the best bottom end rebuild kits for a 94-98 12 valve? I have been searching the internet and I found quite a few but I don't know who can be trusted. I am putting a Cummins in a Ford and I want to start with a fresh motor.
I used these guys.

They even had a chance to make more money off me, but chose to tell the truth......so I d say they are trust worthy. A hard find now days. I built my cummins, with there parts on the floor. It runs perfect. It was my first cummins, but I ve done 100's of gas engines.
I used there marine style piston, (came skirt coated) (I had the crowns coated) I balanced the piston/pin weight, and did the entire assembly. Iopted for total seal rings, and put a helix 2 cam in. I did not balance the rotating assebly, but I did loose about 6 grams off the piston /pin and it is so smooth I cant believe it. I cant tell where 3000 is or 4000 rpm with out looking at the tach. Before the rebuild, I always new when it went past 2600.
