Rear Axle Swap

Rear Axle Swap
Hi guys,
Well, I've found a deal on an '02 D70 with limited slip and disc brakes.
So, after doing some searching and reading, I was wondering if you guys could clarify a few things for me?
I've seen that some have recommended changing to the larger master cylinder. Is this an absolutely necessary upgrade?
Also, will the brake lines/parking brake cable need to be altered in any way?
Is there a way to confirm the axle is actually a dana 70, and not a dana 80?
Cheers,
Ian

I changed from a 96 to a 01 and had no problems at all you will have to splice the brake cable and the parking brake is not as strong as the drum brake. The master cyl will work just fine. Dana 70 have a 3/8" pipe fill plug and dana 80 has a 1/2" pipe fill plug. Hope this helps
