Question?

my buddy has a 95 2500 ext cab 2wd ctd. and he was wondering why when the truck is in drive and u hit the go pedal and let off real fast the engine dies? thanks!

It can be one of three causes. The idle is too low due to dirty injectors or a bad idle adjustment. The cable between the transmission valve body and fuel injection pump is misadjusted. A dirty or bad TPS (throttle position sensor).<br><br>I would lean toward dirty injectors after a winter of using diesel blended with old jet fuel. It puts quite a bit of wax and deposits on the nozzles. It is a good idea for the fuel system to be cleaned with a top notch injection cleaner every spring.

i forgot to mention it has 233k miles on her! has a newer lift pump i think that is all that has been done to it? oil and fuel filter change recently. his tranny was shifting in and out of od alot i told him tps was dirty, bad, or not adjusted right then he had a tranny fuild change and it hasnt done it for awhile now.
