pros and cons of these trannys
pros and cons of these trannys
i need a tranny really bad right now, and i figured i was gonna go for the fully built dtt, but have a friend that got a goerend brothers tranny for bout 2 grand less than a dtt, anyone have any problems with either...
I have a fully built DTT trans with billet input shaft and hub, billet output shaft, and billet 3rd gear drum, and couldn't be happier. I don't know anything about the other builder you mentioned by I know you won't be disappointed with the DTT transmission. It may be more expensive, but its worth it.
I have a DTT and love it, nice firm hard shifts and a nice smooth torque converter. Yes they are very darn expensive, but so is ATS. From what i have read, the Goerands (spelling??) tranny is top notch too. I have not been in a truck that has one, but the people who have them say they are great plus the excellent customer service to go along with it. I dont think you can go wrong with either one.
Here's a recent thread that should give you some insight:

I don't think you can go wrong with either one myself.
