Problems with fuel solenoid
Problems with fuel solenoid
I put in a new one yesterday but when its cold it will not pull up. I put in all new relays and the fuel solenoid.
Any ideas?
I have continuity from the battery and obviously the hold circuit works just fine. So the issue is in the pull up circuit.

The oft-repeated wisdom on this forum is that fuel solenoids rarely fail, most are replaced needlessly.
Does it move at all when the key is turned? Did you adjust the initial position correctly? Did you bench test it before installation? Did you bench test the old one after removal?
You say the hold circuit works just fine, so I would say the solenoid is OK. The initial position is critical because the plunger must be partially inserted into the coil for it to actuate.

Check that the small brown wire at the starter has a good connection.
This is the wire that triggers the relay to close for pull.
Also check the blue wire at the battery positive isn't corroded, this often happens under the insulation where you can't see it.
