Possible heat problem with PCM

After driving for 2hrs 1st the over drive dropped out, then 15 mins. later the cruise control stops, 10 mins. later the a/c compressor clutch disengages. Stopped for lunch everything works again for about 3/4 hr. then problem starts again. I fashioned a heat deflector out of aluminum foil to keep some heat from exhaust and turbo away from PCM and made the 400 mile return trip home, not using cruise control or a/c. Looking at a wire diagram, the Pcm is the only thing that seems to affect all 3 things. The grounds are at different places, and no check engine light. Next problem Dodge says there are none in the country!! ANY IDEAS

I believe I'm having the same problem with heat affecting the PCM.
With the cold weather cover on the truck tach fluctuates and the transmission goes out of lockup and overdrive. As long as the truck is going over 65mph everything works fine. Below 65mph the problem presents itself again. As long as the cold weather front is off the truck works fine.
I adjusted the ESS to spec to no avail.
Did you replace the ECM?
Does anyone have an idea what else could be affected by heat?

Been down that road in my 95, mine was two thinks first the brake peddle would bounce in a rut and drop overdrive . Put a spring on it problem solved . Second bought a rebuilt pcm on line from dodge on line discount dealer . Fixed all problems . The crazy tach ac charging all that crap. I sent my pcm in to the dealer there was one in states if you wont I can try to find the dealer . Its possible you have corrosion on the pins on the harness or pcm but that did not fix mine . bad pcm
