The inlet air temperature sensor is roughly at the fuel filter level at the back of the engine on the driver's side near the firewall. (on a 24V)

The battery temperature sensor is underneath the driver's side battery.

I don't know where the temperature sensor is for the overhead console.

OAT sensor is next to the drivers side headlight when you have the hood open.. It is just above the level of the front bumper so it can sense the temp of incoming air through the front grille.

It doesn't help that you don't specify which of the four temp sensors you're looking for.

Not to mention we have no idea what engine you are referring to.

There are different temp sensors and different locations for the 3 Cummins engines in the Dodge Trucks.
12 valve, 24 valve, Common Rail.

sorry I didn't mean to make it sound disrespectful. I meant the temp sensor for the overhead counsel for outside temp reading. I have a 97 12 valve I have been trying to figure out what it looks like I have looked near the radiator on the drivers side. Any help is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU

That helps.

My buddy has a 97 12v and he was at the house yesterday. I asked him about that sensor, so he pointed it out.

Lift up the hood. It's right next to the driver's side headlight. It's mounted on the vertical support. You can't miss it.

I'll ask him to take a pic with his digicam, but you shouldn't have any trouble finding it.
