PDR HX 40

HOW MUCH BOOST DOES A PDR HX 40 PUT OUT AND WILL I BLOW THE INTER COOLER OR ANY THING ELSE

The intercooler is pretty tough and I don't think you will hurt it. I would stay away from nitrous though.<br>Michael

1st Gen.<br>Its not how much boost the HX40 puts out.<br>The advantage of this turbo is that it provides cooler air and can move exhaust out quicker then the stock HX35.<br><br>I could hit 39-40 PSI with my stock HX35 but my Autometer EGT gauge would be hitting the 6 o' clock position probably 1800 degrees or more!<br>With my PIERS super HX40 with the 16cm turbine housing and 14cm compressor housing, I can hit about 35-36 PSI but<br>I peg out on EGT's at about 1600 degress then recess to about 1400 on cruising at Wide open throttle.<br>In my opinion alot safer then 1800 degrees!! (meltdown temps!)<br><br>Peformance on these units is great, you can usually gain 50hp on a dyno run with a Piers 40 or even more if you use the bigger 18.5 cm housing, if you have the fuel there to burn.<br>IMO<br><br>--Justin
