Just wandering what all I will need to do a tab is there a gasket or just RTV for the front cover. Thanks

You can go to Cummins and buy a new gasket if you want to. Most guys will just be careful removing the front cover and put some RTV on and reinstall.

I replaced my front cover gasket and front seal when I did mine. I would have not replaced the gasket but it was leaking a little anyway. All parts were under $50 from Cummins. I couldn't find anyone with a wrench for the fan nut so I made one from cardboard then transfered it to a piece of 3/8" steel and cut it out dressed it up with the side grinder. It worked great and was much cheaper than buying one just for a one time use.

Those seals are prone to leakage anyway, and much easier to change while the cover is already off.

Well I was too late the pin had already fallen out but I dont think it has done to much damage but it looks like it had fallne out once before and made a small crack and been patched up, I will post some pics.

Here is where it was at it was rattling around and you can see where it rubbed a place in the case when I took the cover it fell into the oil pan.
