p7100 governor arm adjustment Q's

I installed a #6 cam plate awhile back and was told it would be a good idea to tweak the governor arm adjustment like the writeup thats on piers' site.
The way they word the thing about the #6 plate is a bit confusing. Do they suggest making the adjustment such that the arm touches the highest spot on the cam plate, the 'nose' , or do they mean the smaller peak just below that. Im assuming they mean the highest part of the plate because adjusted slightly below that I get the symptoms they mention with the power being awful until it clears that high spot. BTW, watch your brakes if you do this, I had to use both feet to keep from whacking the fence. Also that !@#$%!@#$!@#$!@#$ filter is a !@#$!@# to get on and off.

Well here is some advice

that i learned from Infidel. If you have a 1996 or a 1997 u can undo two of the bolts that hold the brake booster to the firewall i think (if i see them i can point them out) and u can swing it around and have tons of room to work on, seeing that you have a 1995 that might not be the case. As far as your governer arm adjustment should go, IMO i think that if you cannot get it to touch the plate, at least get it flush with the top hump, you might also need to bring back your starwheel a little to let it sit where u want it to sit.. (IE the governer arm)

The move the booster trick only works on '94-'96.
Adjust the arm so it hits the tip of the lower tip on the plate.

The peak below the highest point on the plate would cause it to hang up like the writeup said. I ended up with it dead-on to the tip of the highest part of the plate and thats seemed to help.
I also found a line that was involved with the brake booster that Id knocked off reaching for the fuel filter. Oops!
