I have a97 dodge 3500 with about 110000 on it. it has started leaking oil from the front of the engine, near the top of the motor. it appears to be coming from the timing cover bolts. do these thread all the way into the block? 2 of them were loose and i tightened them up but have not driven it again yet. should this fix the problem?

These might fix the problem, but I would check out the kdp also. You can do a search and find tons of info on kdp's. Good luck

maybe just a seal leak with the bolts losse
clean it off and check for leaks later on

 

Yes, clean it up good and watch it. I had a little leak there too that a turn on the bolts fixed.

 

thanks for the help. i am going roping tonight, so i will see if it leaks anymore.
