off the wall turbo question

can u flip the turbo over? meaning flip it so the filter is where the exhaust is? and would it still fit under the hood?

You could rotate it on the manifold, but I'm sure you're gonna have clearance issues, as well as replumbing the oil feed and drain lines, compressor to aftercooler line. Are you going for the hood stack?

yes i want a stack so bad.can the lines only hook up to o nly one part? meaning does the oil have to flow a certain way? i fig just put the norm feed line in to the dain line fitting. and as far as compressor side can it be un bolted and rotated?

Due to the design on the bearing, oil goes in to the top, out the bottom. They are aligned vertically, not like on is at the front and the other at the back. You can clock (rotate) the compressor housing, but you're still moving the compressor outlet a good 15" back of its natural position. Need to fill that gap. Why not get someone to fab you up a custom down pipe that does a 180 closer the front of the truck, then 90 it up through the hood? Sounds easier to me.

Yep, the bearings have slight openings in the top of them for oil to flow in and down through, so the turbo has to be kept upright.
