Just drained the fluid from my NV4500 and noticed the fill plug requires a hexagon wrench.

I'll need to run and pick up an attachment for the rachet. What size is it?

I'm assuming it's metric. I'd like to know the exact size, I'll be taking the wife's car and can't check it while at the store. One trip vs. 2-3 would be nice.

 

Not sure on the size but I just use a bolt whose head fits plug with two nuts locked together on it.

 

Pretty sure that a 3/8 rachet fit in there. Same with the transfer case.

 

I believe its a 3/4" pipe plug if you want to replace it with something more "user friendly"
I drilled, counter bored, and tapped a solid pipe plug for my tranny temp sender.

 

Is mine different from everyone elses?
