This is a photo of the small forward most gear on the main input shaft of a 1995 NV4500. I'm trying to find anyone who knows why this gear has chipped at the rear side. The gap between this gear and the synchro is 0.016". There is no sign of damage to this sychro or any of the other gears beside or below this chipped gear.
The axial play is 0.000" the radial play is 0.020" a the end of the input shaft on the pilot.
