If its a manual
fifth gear nut failiure is probably the most likely cause, if its an automatic, chances are the bands have gone bad..

If it's an automatic, Id say that it's your TPS (throttle postion sensor) There are some pictures of where it is located on your engine somewhere on here, somone should chime in with a link.

Yeah, I went 'round & 'round with that little piece of plastic and metal. I did every test and trace that I could to ensure that it was infact the culprit. I ended up having to purchase one, but it did fix it, so I guess it was money well spent, with a lifetime guarantee! (O'Reilly) Hope the best for you... Search my old posts and you will see mine about the O/D and tranny.

they found the problem at a shop, they found out something in the tranny came wrong assemblied! now it works perfect!
