New tranny on way

It's d-day tomorrow. I get it back after being without it for two weeks. It died on 4th of July weekend and been in the shop up at J&H Performance in Redding for a week. Getting the DTT master kit with their torque converter, billet piston/accumalator and valve body, adding one more clutch, putting in kevlar bands and uping the line pressures. Also adding a torque converter cooler line that will allow the trans temp sensor to thread right in. And after talking to Harvey I decided to go with the 3000K gov. spring kit since I have the 4.10 gears. Should run and tow like a dream. Is there any break-in period or can I tow right away? I need to go get my trailer 4 hours away in the mountains.
That was a rough weekend!

It doesn't matter how new the tranny is if you got it from one of the "big 4". Just put it in and go for it!!! No break-in required. You wil be really happy with the way your truck performs and the "new found power". You will understand when you get it in and on the road again.

Only thing I recommend with a new tranny, and it might be just that I'm stuck in my old ways, is to service it at about half the recommended interval.
Don't know about DTT but on my SunCoast the warranty was void if you didn't have it checked out again for free in the first 2000 miles. No big deal, they just want to make sure there's no leaks and that everything is adjusted right so you don't toast it.

With my tranny, I was told since it was already dyno'd before it left the shop you really can't screw it up as long as there are no leaks. Kinda like a "plug and play" type operation.

Thanks for the advise guys. Looking to get it back early next week. I'll drive it like I stole it! They're going to "kill the dowel" also if they have the time. If not I'll get that done when I go back for the 1000 mile oil change.
