NEW MEXICO TIMING!!!!
NEW MEXICO TIMING!!!!
I have been calling around asking for estimates to have my Cummins re-timed to 15.5* and I have been coming up with prices around $250. Does anyone in NEW MEXICO know of a good CHEAP place to get my truck timed? Or better yet can anyone time my truck for me at a better price than that? Help would be appreciated.

Re:NEW MEXICO TIMING!!!!
Hello Chris,<br> I am in Las Cruces, I have had the same trouble, I am putting a new injection pump in mine and It was about the same price to buy the tools and the book and ask alot of questions on this site. I plan on being done today or tomorrow I am going to time my new set up at 14.5 degrees instead of the 12.5 it came as. I think I have about $260.00 in the timing set and the book. The procedure is not hard at all once you have a good grasp on how it works. I could not find a shop here In Las Cruces that would time it for me. they wanted to do the whole job which would have been lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!! :'( . So I am going to do it myself. I'll let you now how it goes. Ty
Re:NEW MEXICO TIMING!!!!
Hey Guys, An idea for you would be to split the cost of $200 and purchase a Snap-On SP-500 timing kit. Dave Fritz has very good instructions on the procedure on his web site. I have this kit and with a friend "JGK" we have become Boise's 12v timing guys. We have also run into different situations with the 215HP pumps vs. the 180 HP pump. Jay and I can give some helpfull hints for you. Lon<br><br>http://www.dodgeram.org
