snow sking in new mexico

i am thinking about taking the family snow skiing spring break. i was just thinking about tenting it in ruidoso and that way i would have enough to go skiing 3 days. another buddie of mine suggested red river. i have never been to red river and it is not that much farther to drive. i have a wife and 3 kids so the prices add up quick for any rentals. can anyone give me some suggestions? my son and i snow boarded last year and might do it again. or we might try a set of snow blades, they looked fun.

When my daughter, son-in-law and grandaughter go to Ruidoso they get together with their friends or other family members and split the cost of a rental. They also chip in on food and cook big meals. Keeps the cost down per family and they have a blast.

If you haven't gone yet, I just got back. Skiing isn't my thing but my friends had a great time. We were there from the 8th to the 13th. In town the temps were high 50's low 60's during midday. My friends went skiing everyday and had a blast though.

The snowblades are awsome , and i would highly reccomend them, I am second man on the totem pole in the rental shop at our local hill, only one fella been there longer than myself , and i can honestly say i have never had someone bring snow blades back in and tell me they hated them , but i get that with snowbards alot...
