Question need help with timing ??? long

hi
well i was giong to bump the timing a little while doing the kdp fix and this is what i found !

after verifing tdc a few times i indacated the pump lift and found it to be .205" at tdc ???

well now what is my timing at now ??? cpl is 2174 1998

i was going to set it at 16 deg = .193" my chart does not go higher than 16 , does anyone have a chart that does ?

if i back it off how will this affect it ?

fuel economey is a priority also i like some power but not a major concern .

what should timing be set at to best drive localy mostly 25-55 mph?

what should it be set st to drive hiways 70 mph for best economey ?

best i have got so far is 21.4 mpg but i have no idea what condition filter is in as i have only had truck a few mounths and did not drive it much as i was wanting to do the kdp first . now i will not be scared to drive it .

plan to do the filter as soon as i get it back to gether

thank you !

Here is a timing chart that shows timing up to and including 16°..

Dodgeram.org timing chart

The timing you have is pretty advanced, like over 17° which to me seems pretty high IMHO.. Great for racing over 4K Rpm but not much for a daily driver. I would roll it back to 4.9 MM or 0.193" and see how it operates.

By my caculations your at 17.5* right now. If you advance any more you'll probably be doing a search on how to change head gaskets.

I have been running 18* on a 12 year old headgasket since september, no problems yet *knock on wood*.
