My muffler is cracked "new pics"

My oem muffler is cracked and sounds like the baffling has come loose. I have a 3" center in center out 40 series flowmaster left over from my old Trans Am. How do you guys think it will work or would I be better off putting a straight pipe inplace of the cat and muffler until I can get a new 4" system. Looking for a quick fix.

Dont use the flowmaster. It will sound terrible on the diesel. Straight pipe! Much nicer sound!!!

If you striaght pipe the exhuast and leave the stock tip. Also I just re-used the old clamps from the muffler. $30 dollars and you can have one too ... There is very little drone to it... Going down the highway 65 MPH you can't hear the exhaust at all until you hit the skinny pedal! Then she will grunt a bit...Not bad...

I still think Harley's motorcycles are louder!

Where did the muffler go???!!!

Thanks!

You will need about 64" inches of 3" pipe. It ran me a whole $30 bucks to do it. I reused the old clamps. The muffler shop flared the end for free! That's cool!

Love the melody of the singing turbo diesel engine!

boostedte37,

Have you notice the grab handle that DC put on the muffler? I think that so you can throw that muffler as far as you can!

I think I might take it to the scrap yard and have it crushed that thing is almost as big as a VW and almost as heavy

Just got the BHAF on today

Let me know how it is I'm think of getting too... Guages first though...

As for crushing the muffler... Take it out for taget practice... Give it some extra breathing holes!
