my first 12V

I had to sell my 99 24V to buy central air for my house a few months ago since the boss was pregnant and was making my life really bad, lol. Now the baby is here and its not hot outside so I got a '94 5spd 4x4 lastnight and I'm not really sure what to do to get more power out of it. The guy I got it from said it had a 0 plate in it,did he meen he took it out or he ground it into a different shape? And what is this star in the pump I keep reading about, does it just make more smoke or does it really make more power?I s that what people call "turned up"?LOL, I know I sound retarded but this is the first 12V I've messed with and I want to learn all the DOs and DON'TS.

If it is a 0 plate it has been ground down and will proceed to destroy your clutch unless it is upgraded. Hope that its got gauges too because it will get HOT.

Star wheel will give you a little more low end.

Just search around, first thing you should do are gauges (unless you have them already), and then after that tab the KDP...

Is everything else on the truck stock? That will help everyone here know what has/needs t be done.

the 0 plate will have added a nice boost over stock, but i'd recommend a 3gsk (it allows full fueling past 3k rpms). It also wakes up the bottom end revs so it feels like u gained alot of power.

It looks like ur 99 had acouple good power mods, so to get the 94' up to par, i think u'll need some bigger injectors ddp 2's maybe and a turbo, and alittle pump tuning (u can do it for free). And of course ur clutch will be loving every minute until u upgrade that, lol.

yeah the '99 was awesome,I would like to get this one equal to or a little better than that and still able to be driven everyday and tow on the weekends, first thing I'm going to do is fix the exhaust, the guy has dual 3" straight out the back I do not like that at alll,so I'm putting either a single 4" or 5" out behind the rear tire
