I'm thinking of grabbing a 12v out of a 97 2x 2500.<br><br><br>The price is 3750. I believe it to be complete running engine. Is this a fair price? It has 69k on it. The only thing I wonder about is it's company truck and think there's chance it could have been abused by workers.<br><br>Also it's a ca truck, will this make it a 180hp engine? If so, is it just pump adjustments that make the difference between it and the 215 motor? Or internal parts like the plungers?<br><br><br>Also right now I have a borg warner t19 transmission. I've seen the it mated to the engine in a scout. Does anyone know what parts or what type of bell housing would be required to do this?<br><br><br>Thanks

 

I think the California trucks have a different intake manifold - one that has an EGR valve in it.<br><br>To do any big mods, you'd have to swap manifolds or make changes to theat one. Either option may be a federal offence, but I'm not sure.<br><br>Tackett
