Actually many places already heve Ultra Low Sulpher Diesel, Low Sulpher Diesel is the old stuff.
It will be fine in the older trucks. The fuel companies won't manufacture something that you can't use in the existing vehicles.
Most of us do run an additive already, I use Power Service, mainly due to avalliability.

Someone is feeling optimistic
There will be lubricity additives put in the fuel before we get it, but more can't hurt. Sulpher is some nasty stuff, personally I'm not to disapointed that there will be less of it running through my IP and injectors.

Don't do anything, you've probably been using ULSD for a couple months anyway.
This is Cummins' take on it:
"ULSD fuel is backwards compatible, and can be used in all engines."
