Love My Truck

I have owned my truck since 1997. The only thing that I did to it was change fluids, and the steering dampner. I have spent the last two months on the weekends working on it.

L/H & R/H Front wheel U-Joints-I had a shop do the pressing of the joints)
Fuel tank level/sensor-(gauge had not worked for three years, glad to have it back!)
Fuel filter
Transmission filter & fluid
Valve Adjustment
Accy Drive Belt
Engine Cleaning and Detailing
Steering Gear
Low Speed Idle Adjustment-What a[EDIT] difference! Highly recommended!
Tracking Bar
TST KILLER DOWEL PIN KIT INSTALLED
Michelin Tires
Front Brakes

90,000 miles on her, and when I start her, maybe up to two cranks & she lites up. This is more for the Chevy and Ford owners who are thinking about making the change. It's good to have a truck that you can rely on...priceless....

I understand where you are comming from! It seems like I read things on here and Im like weau, thank god that hasnt ever happened to me, then BAM! it happens to me. One instance that stands out in my head with that was the fuel shut down relay. I read a post about it, and I'd never had troubles with it, then next thing I know, Im hunting for a solution... Im glad nonetheless that this site is available. I'm sure I'd be $$$ out without it!

A lot of it is the 10 year syndrome, chances are your 97 rolled off the assembly line in 96.

The computer hadent even finished shouutin down and bam, 5th was gone. I swear my headgasket problem is from reading about it also.
