i have had my 94 diesel 2500 4x4 w/167k for a few months and i have put about 20k on it ,today i started the truck after driveing it a while and i loss alot of power ,it idles fine and seem to rev fine but takes for ever to get up to 55 and it want go much faster then that, i did stop it once ran into a store and after drive about 5 mins later it started to drive normal again then i stopped at the parts store to pick up fuel filter and when i started it this time the power loss was back ,if i climb any type of grade speed drops,changed fuel filter and cleaned heater screen when i got home and still no help, i checked the turbo and feels fine and seemd to spool up like normal,thanks for any help

 

Sounds like tranny trouble is it an automatic?

 

yes its an auto ,it had a rebuild about 50k ,and it semas to shift at the right pionts,is there away to find out,i would hate to take it some where and they say its a trans and the try to fix it and it still do the same thing

 

could be your lift pump and/or bad fuel lines. how's your air filter?

 

looks like it was the fuel sylnod valve ,no i have to find one,thanks for everyones help
