Lockup?

Is it the TC unlocking/locking that I feel when driving along and for whatever reason let off the throttle, then get back on it?

Its like the trans has downshifted, and most of the time it did not need to do it. So on re- throttle the rpm's flair then it locks up or shifts up or whatever its doing that it does not need to be doing and we are on our way.
Can't stand that characteristic.

If you let off beyond a certain point while cruising in lockup , then yes , it will unlock , and once you decide to press the accelerator pedal again , if the conditions are right (speed , load, temperature) it will re-lock the converter , completely normal , if you want the converter to stay locked , put in a lockup switch , just remember to UNLOCK it on the switch before you try and stop.

Yea that sounds normal. If I let off, the converter unlocks and the truck "coasts". Give a little throttle and it locks up again.
