Lift Pump Replacement-which one to go with??

I did my GSK mod & started changing the fuel filter, & screen water trape..I like to do Preventive-Maintenance..so since, I'm going to keep this truck almost forever, I started reading about the lift pumps on these trucks, & they do go out..the pumps appear to be reasonably cheap..but there are several ones out there...I dont want the "throw-away" $60.00 ones...How is the "Alliant" MFG brand or Delphi??? price about $115.00 Free shipping, I did a "Search" here & got results which were a few years old..suggestings?? thanks

..well, after phone calls & speaking with a local major repair shop... It apears Delphi MFG is the one suggested. I was looking at Alliant Power MFG, until I heard they are made by "Carter", which the shop suggested to stay away from..I dont want to pay the dealers price of $600.00 +, so aftermarket it is..Delphi . Fuel Lift Pump Delphi HFP916. so far, its $113.00. ebay & search the seller allday parts..JFI (Comments are still welcome)

I put in a lpplp from hungry diesel. Very noticeable improvement from the stock diaphragm pump. Way more expensive though $235.

I did the 15 psi. More power sooner and longer. Prior to switch truck would cruise at about 60, then had to be pushed to cruise at 65. Now will cruise at 65/70 also gained about 1 mpg overall.

Roaddiesel has a 2ndgen. Cummins oe lift pumps for 2ndgens are cheap, around $90 last I checked...been maybe a year or so. He needs the high pressure original version, not the detuned version with lowered pressure fir 1stgens. Unless I missed something...anyway I thought carter was an oe manufacturor of the orig cummins unit.

Yep, you sure don't want a low pressure pump on a P7100, if you have less than 25-25 at idle, they don't run right, 32-35 at WOT.
