Lessons learned re TPS
Due to some tranny shudder I decided to check the TPS voltage and found it at 0.4 V. Attempted the fix by widening the slots and couldn't get it above 0.9 V. After I was worried about nothing being left of the slots I decided to check the throttle linkage length (Recall #B15 was done before I bought the truck). It was 1/8" too long. Easy adjustment with a 10 mm wrench, set right at 5" (Recall B15, Throttle Linkage). Rechecked the TPS, voltage easily up to 1.2 V. Transmission felt less sloppy and quicker throttle response. Long and short of it. Before TPS changes - check idle, check throttle link then adjust. Hope this may help someone out before the blow out the side of a $200 TPS.

Paul
