Leak on front of the motor? Seal?

My truck has got a leak on it in the middle of the front of the motor underneath a pulley. I was told it was a seal of some kind. What do i have to do to fix the leak, and what part is acutally leaking leaking?

If it is leaking there, you need to do a search on KDP or Killer Dowell Pin.

There are several write-ups about changing the case, but it is not quite that simple. Sorry for the bad news.

If you are not sure of how to search, right beside the New Post Button. Type in the words "Killer Dowell Pin", sit back and don't cry.

The only way to know is to unearth the gear cover. Someone told me you could see behind the pullys with a mirror but that did not work for me.
If you are lucky the leak is from seeps from the cover bolts and the cover seal itself. Mine was quite oily but you could also tell to some certainty there was not one single big leak, the sure sign of a KDP gone bongo.
I would plan to re-seal the cover and tab the pin but have a plan "B" in place in case it turns out to be the dreaded broken gear cover. Then its a whole other can of worms, a really big fix.

Big Jimmy (mine is as clean as a new motor since I re-sealed/tabbed it.
