My local Cummins Repair center charged $150 for the fix, no sweating,cursing, busted knuckles, etc. and they guarantee thier work. The service manager said if the pin comes out and gets between the gears it can destroy everything up to, and including the block, but it's usually just the $1,800 gear cover. I wish Cummins would just accept responsibility for this defect and refund expenses for all these KDP fixes and engine repairs from lost ones.
