I was surfing around on the 'other' site and ran into a couple of 98.5 and early 99 guys who did the KDP fix on their 24Vs. Seeing as how mine is a early 99, I'd really like to fix this before it becomes a problem... 182K and nothing yet... YET.<br><br>I'm in Abilene, but can travel just about anywhere in west Texas. Also, I make it to San Antonio at least once a month, Austin area is also not out of the question.<br><br>Any help would be greatly appreciated.<br><br>Thanks,

You can pull the timing cover and install a tab over the dowel pin and install a new seal the cover. I did not spend much money and it is not a hard job. Doen`t take much time to do the work. I did not remove the raditor or hoses. I thought that the dowl pin jig would never make it this far down in a life time. If you dont wont to do the work then I would use Redmond Enterprises. lol JimK

 

Im in South Texas also, and would like to know if there is anyone around here that has one or will do the job. I dont have too many miles on the truck, but all this KDP talk is frightening...
