PM gunracer1. He has the broken gear cover off his rig and you can make a template from that. We both work in Arlington. I used it and made a cardboard drill template for mine. A drill extender (from Home Depot) also helps to reach the sweet spot. I also have the wrench to get the fan off if you want to borrow it - but you better be fast because I am leaving for Colorado for elk hunting early tomorrow morning.

Thanks man.
I won't have time to deal with it right away. I'll have to try to get that wrench from you after you get back. When will that be?
Hopefully that stinkin dowel will be patient and wait for me.
Happy hunting!!!!!

Don't wait too long. Apparently, I did. I did the KDP jig fix and thought things were good. About 2 days later, I had some oil spots in my driveway. I thought it was from the work I had done. It wasn't. Since I tried to put a set screw in to hold the KDP and never saw the location, I never realized the KDP must have already been out. I never saw a crack or anything. A couple of days and a couple of oil spots later, I fell victim to the KDP.
If you want to pay shipping, I can send you the hoonyacker.

probably worth taking the cover off and doing the bolts too. i saw a "3-piece" cam with my own eyes that fell victim to a BOLT, not the dowel pin. i would strongly recommend doing them all at once.
