Hi guys just bought a 98 12v , no owners man. with it . Want to do syn in the TC , nv4500 what types are compatable to use.

 

Oh ya also the temp guage doesn't come all the way to the middle like my 02 , only comes up a little better than a quarter is this normal.

 

Do a search here, there are 2 oils I believe approved, Amsoil and Castroil? Sorry, Im an Auto guy for now.

As for the temp, you should see it swing to 190 at least, then most cycle back and forth until it stabilizes at 190.

If not, get a Cummins T-stat.......

 

With the new dash style you'll see right below 190*, that is correct measurement.
