Internal water/oil leak.

1997 12v, as some have read before I bought it as project truck. It was partially submerged, water entered motor or at least part of it.

Motor runs fine, but there's a huge water leak into motor oil. I replaced head gasket, nothing has changed still a lot of water in oil. I removed motor oil cooler behind oil filter, cleaned all surfaces, and reapplied gaskets with a light coat of Permatex High Temp silicone to help sealing.
If I add water into radiator, and leave oil plug open (no oil in pan) I can see a small drip from it.

Is there any other places where water could enter oil passages ? Or is this a certain sign of a cracked block ?

I have to say I suspect motor was heat shocked when got wet (it was hot then immerged in water).

Given what you have done to it, I'd say a cracked block is probably the culprit.

There are frost plugs behind the tappet cover on the side of the engine. If you remove the cover, they're pretty easy to get at. Hope it's that simple.

Water leak is internal, not external, frost plugs will show coolant outside of motor not mixed with oil.

What puizzles me is there in very little pressure and oil inside radiator.

The frost plugs in behind the tappet cover would leak antifreeze down onto the cam , then on into the base of the engine , they are internal frost plugs so to speak.

The Tappet cover is the long rectangle thing seen on the side of the engine here : it is in behind the fuel filter , and continues towards the front of the engine, in behind the IP.

I see, I would have to remove IP and accessories.

That would make more sense.

Anyway I am tired of messing with it, I am selling whole truck check classifieds.

It runs and drives, and has few new body parts, $ 3800 or best offer.
