intercooler boots

intercooler boots

is there an upgraded kit or a secret to keeping the boots from blowing off of the intercooler tubes.

take it easy with your right foot .i have heard of people using hairspray on them but not sure that will do the trick. check out genos garage they have everything

Theres lots of upgrade boots out there. I've got BD's on my dually, blew it off once at around 70psi or so, but I'm pretty sure that the clamp was loose. I know PDR has some heavy duty boots, I hear they are a PITA to install.

Cheap hairspray before slipping on the boot on works excellent.
Old biker trick to keep hand grips on.
Also use a torque wrench to get a feel for how tight the bands should be, 72 inch/lbs.
Most folks don't get them that tight by feel alone.
