Intercooler Boot Test

I saw pictures of a fixture someone made out of PVC pipe to test the connections on the intercooler boots for leaks. Can someone send me a link tio the post?

I have a intake that is all sooted up from the now gone EGR valve. The line that goes to the AFC is clogged from the soot and I want to try and blow it out with compressed air. If I pressurize my intake and disconnect the line at the AFC it may remove the obstruction. If it doesn't I'll cap the existing line and run a line from one of the 1/8" NPT holes that are in the 49 state air horn that I bought.

PVC pipe is 4" with a port for a tire chuck and gauge tapped in the cap.
Hose clamp rubber coupler that attaches to turbo is a 4"id X 4"od, $10 from Home Depot.
Do not pressurize over 40 psi, the tester could come flying off like a missile

Now I have to find a short lenth of 4" PVC pipe.

I have a small pressure regulator that I'll use with my compressor. How do you keep the pressure from leaking out any open intake valves?

It's impossible to keep it from leaking by unless you plug off the turbo or exhaust somehow.
The way I overcome it is with a 12hp compressor that can keep up with the leak.

I have a big compressor with a 200 gallon reciver tank. I should be able to keep up.

How much pressure do you introduce into the manifold? It should be able to handle 30 psi, no?

The manifold will take as much pressure as your compressor can throw at it while leaking.
It's nothing compared to the compression pressure when the engine is running.
