Injecton Pump Rebuild
Injecton Pump Rebuild
I've got 235,000 miles on my '95 2500. I still love this truck! But I'm wondering what to do when my Injection Pump decides it's had enough. I see sellers on ebay who are selling rebuilt pumps for $700.
Which rebuilders have a good reputation?
How long do rebuilt pumps last?
Thanks!

stay away from those special ebay rebuilt junkers. if your in the market for a rebuilt pump go with columbus diesel supply. i have a installed a few of there rebuilt vp44s and am pleased. also use to use alot of there pumps and turbos at my last job. top notch products!
IP failures with the p-pump are rare, but occur nonetheless. 94-95 seem to be worse for it than the later years. Everything I have heard has steered me to Columbus Diesel. I will be getting my hands on a pump that needs a rebuild, and it will be going to CDS to be rebuilt.
Columbus diesel it is! Thanks!
I'm not anticipating a pump failure, but I like to be prepared for things.
For years I've run all my diesel into my aux. tank first, and then pumped it into the main tank through a big NAPA filter--so for much of the truck's life the #2 got filtered twice.
